The White House is on lockdown Tuesday evening after a man jumped the fence on the North Lawn, the Secret Service tells Fox News.
The man is in custody and being processed in the main booth of the grounds.
Spokesman Ed Donovan said the man had a backpack with him, and it is being examined for possible explosive material.
Several armed Secret Service agents were spotted on the scene.
