Quadriplegic skydiver falls to his death during Montana parachuting festival

27-year-old Zack Fogle, who was paralyzed in high school after being hit by a car, died Saturday in a skydiving accident.
A veteran, quadriplegic parachuter died over the weekend at a Montana skydiving festival during his first jump at the event, local authorities said.

Zack Fogle, 27, died Saturday at the Lost Prairie Boogie skydiving event after his custom-made parachue failed to open.

Fogle was paralyzed in high school after being hit by a car but he had jumped more than 125 times and even drove a specialized motorcycle.

Authorities determined that Fogle failed to deploy either his primary or emergency parachutes and that equipment that would've released the secondary chute as a fail-safe was damaged.
